Lol so my high school assistant cross country coach/physical therapist was hosting this "virtual track meet" thingy and she really wanted me to do it and I thought it might be kinda fun too so yeah. Anyway, obviously I chose the 3000 because I can't run anything else that well (totally not a mid distance runner y'all, even the 3k feels like a sprint tbh). So I knew what I wanted to run but I didn't know what day. Anyway, I got to the track on Thursday just to stretch out and decide what to do, and NOBODY was there, which is so rare! Almost every time I go there, the whole football team is there and they are so annoying because just meander and wonder aimlessly around and are always in my way. Like they literally cross the track to get water right when I'm running by and they apparently still don't understand what it means when someone yells "TRACK!". So, I was like "oml shae, this is a golden opportunity, now is the time to race". So I got all stretched out and ready and I was super excited, even though I didn't eat my peanut butter toast like I always do on a race day. And then I started racing, and I felt super great! Until like the third lap when I realized it was literally 89 degrees lol, BIG MISTAKE. Also, my coach always counted my laps for me in highschool, and so I also realized I had to do that too so then I kept forgetting what lap I was on haha. Anyway, totally got DESTROYED but it was definitely fun to be in "race mode" again and I was happy about it overall
