First run back! Found out the hard way that construction is being done that involves an area that is in like 88% of my routes so that was sort of a downer. Not to mention the fact that it is going to result in a LOT more hill running with the detours and having to turn around so that's rough, but it'll be good for me! Maybe I can pick up some new routes too! Anyway, so it was really hilly and it started raining like 5 minutes in, which was unexpected, but welcome. My hamstrings actually loosened up a lot after the first mile so that was good, but both my knees were killing me. Most likely just because it was the first day back and I've been biking a lot again, so I'll put some castor oil on em tonight and hope they aren't as stiff tomorrow. Felt a lot more aerobically fit than usual after taking a break, so that was a pleasant surprise. I was planning on going slower than this, especially with it being the first one and also being quite sore, but I guess I was just too pumped about summer training! Good first day, looking forward to more!
