Wednesday mileage.

Today, I dropped my computer on my foot. Doesn't sound like it would be THAT painful, but it sorta was. I ripped my blanket off my bed and and didn't realize my computer was tangled up in there so it really flew off my bed and onto my foot haha. Also, it really hit the right spot because it fell right where one of my screws is from my surgery. Olly was napping so I kinda just had to lay on my bed and bite my covers to avoid screaming. It bled a little bit and got really purpley and swollen right away. This was like an hour or so before practice so also not great timing lol. For like a good half hour I couldn't walk too much on it, and putting my shoe on was QUITE the process, but then it started to feel a little bit better. I probably should've just cross trained today, but my stubborn a$$ was like "no Shae, you are fine, you get to cross train tomorrow" so then I just toughed it out.

It still sorta hurts, but more when I walk than when I run so that's a good thing at least. At first I thought I really messed my foot up cause it looked pretty gnarly and I know it's kinda bad if the hardware in one's foot gets damaged. (Also I cried and despite my lack of physical strength, I actually am pretty tough when it comes to injuries since I am accident prone and get injured alot and have gotten sorta used to it) I don't think there's actually anything wrong with it though, I probably wouldnt have been able to run on it otherwise and I think it's more of just a topical thing/bone bruising rather than like a muscular thing, so I'm not too worried about it.

It was a good reminder that I need to be more frickin CAREFUL

My mom after I told her, with no sarcasm at all: "Wait, is the computer okay?"
