Notes
Conference 5k! This was an okay race. Got out well and slowed it down until Megan took over and I just sat behind her. The pace didn't feel too hard but I kept hearing the Central coach screaming splits and they were only a second slower than the splits I was hitting at Boston so I was shook at how fast we were going. At 6 laps to go, I debated passing Megan to try and win cause I knew it was sort of a "now or never" kinda deal, but Chapman kept telling me I was "good" where I was at so I just kept sitting there. Eventually she picked it up and Aubrie went with and I just sorta let them go. Just coasted in and almost got beat by Lara (oops) so very lucky that didnt happen lol. Felt unaccomplished since I didnt really grind at any point in this race, but I guess the points were all that really mattered. I'm pretty good at not letting emotions get the best of me or impede my racing, but with the amount of stress and pressure I was under this week, I think it took a bit of a toll. Still a fine "race" and probably a good thing all in all I didn't go to the well, but it did make me wanna do better the next day.
