Notes

I was going to tempo tomorrow but apparently it is supposed to be horrendously windy tomorrow and it was still pretty windy today but I was not about to save my tempo for the mountains in Dupuke so today was the day. Unfortunately, I figured this out halfway through the day and had two finals plus work in-between so the only time I could do it was after 5:00...haha RIP.

Anyway, this was actually pretty awesome! Started out conservative...maybe a little TOO conservative, but I built every mile and really opened up the last ten minutes. I did this on RiverRoad and it was very windy, dark, and dangerous with all the ice and cars swerving everywhere but I enjoyed the challenge of it all. I was glad that I wasn't restricted to a shorter tempo like I was in cross season because I knew I could go the full 35 if given the opportunity. I have many weaknesses but one of my strengths is discipline and devotion in regards to tempos, which is what always gets me to the max. I could not see my watch as it was pitch black, so I just went by feel; maybe I should do that every time since I had a good build lol.

Overall, it actually was not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. I definitely could've started a little faster considering how good I felt at the end. It was a solid tempo, even with it being less than ideal conditions and doing it solo after a busy day. Plus it was my first actual workout in almost a month so I am excited to see where I am at next tempo. Eating straight protein powder right now as we speak to recover so I can still feel like a badass tomorrow.
