Conference 5k! Really fun race, got out hot then settled into a super easy pace, then just built from 3k onward. Ran most of it with Natalie until the announcer said that Renner from Loras was moving into third place and I got flashbacks from the outdoor 5k, so I told her we needed to move. Chapman also went from giving us the thumbs up to signaling us to turn the wheels on, so I took off. Been a long time since I built during a 5k so that was fun, plus it felt suuuuuper easy which was a good confidence boost since I have felt a little yikes lately. Had fun and it was my first time ever winning a race (though only reason was because kassie from loras, aubrie, or lexi was not in it haha) but still cool since I've never done that before. OG plan was to just race it with Nat and let her kick me down the last lap, but Natalie could afford to wait until the last lap to kick Renner down and I...could not, haha. Wish I couldve done 3k or mile too but body would probs get wrecked and break before natties so probs for the best but maybe next year!
