Solo LR from the apartment on the Great Western Trail. Had 21 mile 'thirds' progression run on the schedule. Before the run I figured I'd just run 22 miles total so I could get a 1 mile CD after finishing up the progression. Got out a little later than I should have, around 10:30, which allowed it to warm up a bit to 75-ish degrees. Didn't think the temps would bother me, but I think I should have taken a more conservative approach to this one. Only made it 18 miles of the progression. I was feeling really good and easy the first 11 miles to the turn around. I think after I flipped it I got too greedy. I definitely should have taken a few more miles in the 6:00-5:40 range before bringing the pace into the 5:30s then 5:20s. I didn't do a good job of being patient. I might have been able to grind it out and finish the 21, but I would have had to work way too hard for it. I think 18 miles was good given how this one played out. Took a Maurten 100 gel at mile 10
