Was supposed to have a workout today: 1 mile, 2 mile, 1 mile, 2 mile @ tempo interval pace w/ 2:00 jog

Did my warm up and things were feeling fine. Did some strides before I was going to change shoes and take off a few layers and the strides felt okay, but I could feel the twinge in my left glut / hamstring and was a little unsure about it. Got my shoes swapped and kinda mulled a bit before starting the workout and during that time I made the decision to scratch the workout and just run easy today.

The tightness has been improving each day since I tweaked it on Tuesday but since it was still noticeable it didn't seem smart to run fast today and potentially aggravate it more. We are still 2.5+ months away from really needing to be in good shape so now's not the time to be taking risks with training imo. It feel kinda similar to what I dealt with pre 2019 CIM (not anywhere as bad) and when I had a similar glute / hammy tightness on the right side last summer in July. Just need to be smart and let this pass, fitness won't be lost by doing 10 mile easy runs. Have a massage with Jake tonight and made an appointment to see Cindy next week
