18 mile thirds progression run, 1 mile cd

1st 6 miles ~6:52 pace

2nd 6 miles ~ 6:01 pace

3rd 6 miles ~ 5:27 pace

Really solid long run progression this morning. Wanted to make sure I started out slow enough the first 6 so I'd be able to go somewhere with it the last 12. Around mile 8 my right groin area was feeling really sore, I worked through it and it went away around mile 10. I was feeling really easy on the middle 3rd portion. I was still feeling really easy after 14 so decided to shoot for the last 4 all sub 5:30. Mission accomplished and it felt really good. The last two miles I was definitely pushing it, but it felt good to roll a bit at the end of a long effort. Right when I started jogging the cooldown mile my groin started feeling tight and sore again. It was pretty sore in the couple hours after the run but has gotten a lot better as the day went along. Kind of weird and I'll monitor the next couple days
