Blahh. Not a great race for me. Will and me were thinking we'd be going solo at it and decided we'd alternate leading every 600m and try to run 35 second laps. As soon as the gun went off an unattached kid from Iowa went to the lead and I figured if he wanted to lead I'd let him so lined up behind him figuring he'd run about the pace we wanted. He took us through 400 in 69 and 800 in 2:16 so he was going a little quick. I went through the K in 2:51 and we had a huge lead on Will and the rest of the field. I went though 1600m in 4:38 but I was already on the pain train and in for a rough last 1400. Will and a couple UNI guys went by me shortly after the mile and I hung onto the back of their group for a few laps before the picked it up with about 3 to go. I should've let that Iowa kid go early and stuck to the plan Will and I had with the 35's.. I just ran this one like an idiot
