6 mile progression run- 6:12, 5:57, 5:44, 5:30, 5:16, 4:57

Super nice morning for a run with temps in the low 60s and a light breeze. Going in my goal for the 6 mile progression was to start around 6:10 pace and work it down to 5:10 for the last mile. The first 3 felt super easy, just chilling. The 4th mile felt easy too but I did kinda have a hard time keeping the pace consistent, I felt like it was a constant cycle of running too fast then easing up too much then running too fast again and having to ease up. Just had a hard time locking in at 5:30 pace. The 5th mile felt a lot more comfortable as ~5:15 pace felt a lot smoother and easier to maintain consistently. The last mile was pretty tough but I was feeling good and wanted to finish off strong with a sub 5.

Really happy with this one today and happy with where I'm at. After less than two weeks of trying to be smarter about what I eat / drink I am looking thinner and more fit in the mirror. I haven't hopped on the scale yet, but I'm confident I've already lost a few of those extra lbs I've been carrying around all year. I think I might be able to surprise myself with a nice PR in that 5k next month
