5xMile Cruise Intervals w/ 60 seconds standing rest

Indoors at Lied with Will. Really good workout this morning going a lot faster than we have been used to lately. McMillan calculator has a 2:23:00 marathon being 4:53-5:02 for cruise interval pace, so that was kind of my goal going into the workout. Got out a little quicker than planned for the first rep but it felt really easy so decided to let it roll. Just kept trying to work it down each rep and I was able to do that very nicely, I didn't really feel like I was hurting or straining really until the last rep. I feel so strong right now, excited to see what I can do for a fast 8k course in Chicago this weekend... maybe give 24:00 a shot.. we'll see. The roads are definitely where I feel the most comfortable for racing and I'm excited to get back on them.
