Clive Running Fest 5k, actually like 2.94 miles, 14:45, 1st place
Just wanted to knock the rust off and check the fitness before Bix. Expected to run about 15:30 for 5k and this is probably about 15:40 if it were a full 5k so wasn't too far off that. Blake Whalen was doing the 10k and wanted to go out 5:00- 5:05 so that was good for me. We got out, clear of the field after a quarter mile, too quick though in 4:53 and things started feeling shitty about 1.5 in. Blake dropped me which ain't great given he was racing twice the distance but oh well. Held it together okay. Got a ways to go
