Nationals in Hershey PA. Definitely not a good race for me, but by no means a bad one either. I got out really well and was sitting in perfect position through two miles at the front of the chase pack, but when we hit the "bunny ear" hills the second time I just couldn't hang with the group and got gapped really quick. Spent the rest of the race in about 10th place in no-man's land until about 6k then caught up to and passed a few kids to move up to 8th and picked off one more in the last 400m to finish 7th. Not where I wanted to be, but could have been a lot worse if I would have packed it in after getting dropped. I knew going in that hilly courses are usually problematic for me, and that stayed true in this one. Oh well, the Tallahassee course looks pretty flat so hopefully I can finish off the season with a new 10k PR and run well there.
