Ended up 12 @ 5:37 pace

Lol what a stinker. Was hoping to start out in the mid 5:20s and then see how it went, either keep it there or hopefully increase the pace as the run went. 1st mile actually felt pretty good, but consciously decided to dial it back the 2nd and 3rd miles. Then after that I was just kinda at the mercy of a long slow death. Just kinda the same as a lot of workouts lately where the pace doesn't feel fast but the legs just have nothing. Once I turned around at halfway I was definitely getting frustrated and mentally checked out a bit, probably making the paces slower than they otherwise would have been. Just called it at 12 bc I was frustrated and didn't see any point in finishing out 3 more slow miles

Definitely in a funk right now. Maybe I just can't handle big mileage like this anymore. Seems like my legs are just super dead and flat lately on any sort of longer effort. Chatted with Coach Ives after this and will plan to back off the mileage a bit and really lower expectations of workouts for a couple weeks to try to get my legs back. I think I'm probably in pretty decent shape, but my legs are just feeling toast every time I run hard. Hopefully the couple weeks of back off will allow me to run a good DSM Half and give me confidence ahead of Indy. Otherwise I'll opt for Indy Half and then go all in on CIM full. Honestly at the moment I am probably thinking Indy Half + CIM full will probably be the move
