Coach's plan: 2mi warm up, 3 mile tempo at 10:00-10:20 pace, 1mi cool down. I did the tempo portion by effort, 7 like I marked on here, and was surprised when I saw that first split 9:34. Kept the effort steady the next mile so it's nice that the pace followed suit because there was some elevation change there. The last one was faster because it has some nice downhill but I kept the effort steady. I'm very proud of this run. I think running back down here at 4,200 ft. makes a difference! Since I've gotten this new watch, I've been a little skeptical of Garmin Connect's metric, Fitness Age, but it says now I'm down to 51.5, so I'll take it! It also says my VO2 Max is 46 and I seriously doubt that because it's been around 31 at best, I think for many years, using different watches, so it's got to be this watch. It says, "Your VO2 Max is in the top 5% for your age and gender." Who doesn't want to hear that?
