Pain shifted again during the hard bits to the hamstrings on the outside and where the leg attaches to the butt. Stopped to stretch several times. In light of how much it hurt, it might have been crazy or stupid to do this workout, but as soon as I was done and saw the VO2 max reading on my watch, I knew it was worth it. It's not the number that matters but the trend, and I know the number is too high. It said I'm up to 45 on this workout. Last month was the lowest in a year at 43. For reference, it was 48 when I ran my last 5k in July, 2022.
