LT. Didn't pace myself well, apparently, so on interval #3 I stopped early and then on #4 I did the whole mile but slower than the target. I switched into the wear test shoes at the end of my WU. So when I was doing interval #3, it was so convenient when I saw that I'd done 5k in the wear test shoes, I pushed lap & got some recovery jogging in. So if my math is right, I only got 0.6 on that one but I was really struggling in my breathing. Didn't want to do the whole 5 miles in the wear test shoes so I changed back to my regular shoes between intervals #3 & 4. Looking at my max HR during #4 on Whoop, I can see that I crossed the lactate threshold. Haven't seen that HR in a long time and didn't think it was possible. I know from studies that max HR decreases with age and I'll be 60 this summer. This is good news for me, esp. considering that when I used to cross the threshold, I knew because I got the dry heaves!
