Notes

Dodged a bullet today. On my 2nd run today (8miles in AM) I headed to Reedy Creek Park for a 7mile trail run. Had my handheld water and car key in back pocket. About 4.5miles into the run I reach back to feel for the key and felt nothing but an opened pocket that I forgot to zip ::bonk::. Immediately went into panic mode and felt all over my body and in the pocket of the water bottle nothing. So time to back track slowly. Let me remind you I'm looking for a key on a small trail in the woods. I start thinking how am I gonna get home? Erin can't drive my manual. How much is it to get a new key made? So I'm at 8.5 miles (4miles of backtracking) and nothing. I'm losing hope as I'm less than a mile to the car and just then when I'm crossing one of the road crossings I see something on the ground near a wooden post. I couldn't believe my eyes there it was; my key, our ONLY key to the vehicle. Sat there for a good 5mins making love to the key and still couldn't believe I found the needle in the hay stack.
