Notes

Well, well, well...I'm back.

Lots has happened since my last run on June 4th. On June 5th I slipped a disc in my lower right back at Sarah's softball game (long drive back, gah) and I've been rehabbing it since. I went from barely being able to walk for a few days to finally getting a run in 16 days later, which all considering is pretty darn good!!

I was already doing PT for my core so I had that built in for them to help me and i really tried to do exercises to get it shifted, maybe a little too much at times, haha. I thought about running a few days ago but pain flared up pretty good fro camping this past weekend, Monday was actually rough but I really started feeling decent yesterday.

I still have some pain in my side but it's not major, so I went for it and wow, again, I had no idea how this would go, mentally I thought it'd be great if I could do the 3.1, but I was prepared for 1/2, 1, 2, whatever. I just went as the pace took me, didn't push it, felt very wobbly and off balance for at least the first 1/2 mile or so, and definitely a little out of shape cardio wise esp in the last mile but I never really slowed down and I even pushed the last tenth quite well.

So darn happy with this, hope this lasts!!

1/2 way 14:50, 2nd half 14:12 (again wow)

1: 9:35.3

2: 9:28.5

3: 9:14

3.1: 45.02 (7:52 pace...uhhh what?!)
