Phew! Another one of these in the books.
On a normal day I would have beaten last years time...
Wait this was a normal day for Jan 1st, last year was an abomination. Missed it by only 5 seconds considering.
Really had a solid 1st half, the whole course was snow, ice, crunchy covered.
Started slowing down after hitting that 4th mike. Last year I had a great 5th mile but not this time, I was dead after all that snow running.
Super proud of doing these, after feasting on apps and beer and staging up late (so much cheese!!)
Great way to start the year
Times approx, I didn’t realize it was chipped and started the watch too early so will subtract some time which will probably throw things off.
1: 8:44.4
2: 8:41.3
3: 8:37
4: 9:03.05
5: 8:32.5 (8:51 pace as it only got to 4.96)
