Notes

Had a whirlwind of chaos happen this morning with coaching stuff so I was in a pretty sour mood to start the day. Needed to get a run in before I came into the office and wanted to just blow off some steam so figured I'd just do something hard and then go by feel for the rest. Ended up doing a 3 mile warmup, (1x800/5 min rest/3x400 + 3x600 with 200 meter jog rest in-between), 2 mile cooldown. Didn't do any strides before the 800 which I probably should have done but I just wanted to stop being so antsy and frusterated. Was a very weird feeling, legs felt like they handled the pace extremely well but I felt like I couldn't change gears; probably because this is the first time I've ran this fast in ages lol. Had a big positive split (62-67) but was hurting breathing-wise way more than leg-wise. The Vaughan's indoor track hack is real. Afterwards just did some 400's and 600's at a relaxed cadence. First time running with real lactic feels and I definitely could have kept going but I was just mentally ready to be done. Rough start to the day but I'm glad I really got myself out the door and did something! Right hip was tight this time on the cooldown but nothing some rolling can't fix.

*As per usual no spikes in the Vaughan so wore the GT 2000's
