Notes

First "real" workout of the season for long distance kiddos, pretty excited I get to have total control over their training. Workout was 3 mile warmup w/last mile @6 flat, 4x(800,400,400) w/half jog between reps and 2 minute standing rest between sets. I told the group that this is meant to be done at roughly goal 5k pace, and I feel like everyone did a really good job being able to handle it. The 800's were honestly the tough part of the workout, as the 400's are meant to be at the same pace, if not slightly quicker. Ended up doing the majority of the workout with Galvin; with Estrada and Topher being around for certain parts. Led a majority of this and honestly just felt pretty strong today. I'm pleased that I was able to crank out some faster intervals, haven't done something like this in awhile so I certainly enjoyed myself. The track was pretty busy today so there were alot of times I'd have to swing wide but ultimately it just felt good to hop on the track and get after it a bit. Did the workout in the Guides and honestly I love the shoe, definitely best trainer I've had in quite some time.
