I should have run a 5k... 5k was the first event, 3k was the last event before the relays, I was sitting around all day, I warmed up too early, and got locked into a pace that was better suited for a 5k. I wanted to run sub 9:30, but I have no speed right now, all the training has been at 5k goal/date pace with few exceptions, it felt like I could have kept that pace for another 2k which would have been a strong 5k, I just couldn't engage any speed until the last lap (35 I think)
