68 deg with 63 dew point. Not as cool as the last couple days, but still decent conditions for a workout.

Workout: 10 miles at 6:10ish average

I had mandatory physical training (PT) at 6:30, so I decided to get up very early and run the workout at 5am on APG. I didn't run a warm-up, just went straight into the moderate workout. Since I didn't warm up, I started out a little slow for the first half mile and tried to slowly progress to around 6:10-6:15ish pace. I hit the first mile in 6:14 and was surprised how easy it felt. By the 2nd mile, I was at 6:05 pace and I actually felt like I was running about 6:10ish pace. The pace felt very easy and comfortable, so I just continued at the same effort/pace and didn't try to slow down to 6:10ish. At mile 5, I was still feeling very good and comfortable. Over the last 5 miles, I honestly felt like I was running slower than 6:00 pace, but the splits were all sub 6:00. On the last 1/4 mile of the run, I decided to stride out my legs a bit without any significant change in effort. Couldn't believe that a slight increase of pace over the last 1/4 brought my last mile split to 5:48. It certainly did not feel that fast.

Man, I'm not sure what it was, but I felt like a million bucks out there. Felt very smooth and comfortable.
