So listen here's my plan: I was emailing back and forth with Heintz (pal and high school coach) today and he advised me to ease into getting back to running and suggested a 5 week plan where I start at cross training 5 times a week and each week take out one cross training day until I'm down to one per week and keep it there. And then run higher mileage on the other days so I'm still getting good mileage. I don't really have room for injury this season, so we're going with it. So I swam today. I am an ATROCIOUS swimmer. Very slow, no swim cap, no one piece, the lifeguard makes it his job to watch me so I don't drown. But we're sticking with it because if it works for me, I will be very happy.
I did 3 x 10 min of a combo of front crawl, sides, and back stroke. Then I treaded water for 10 minutes. FUN TIMES. We'll see if I get any better at swimming. Lmk if you wanna cross train with me. Lmk if you wanna hear about my boston plan it's lit
