Notes
My 14th marathon. Signed up despite the danger of rain. Was try until mile 20 when a wall of rain hit us all soaking us within a few seconds. It was crazy... helpless within the power of nature. Nowhere to run nowhere to hide. Exposed to the elements. For a second or so I cry for help then I switch, spread my arms wide open, hold my face up to the sky, close my eyes and fully embrace nature lashing over us. It was a true feeling of freedom; being fully centered fully engaged in the present moment. However, within a few minutes, while being fully soaked, reality hit and I realized that the next 6 miles will be painful, which it was.
