Fells Reservoir loop x 2. Plan was to go out easy and maybe push a little the 2nd loop. The problem with that was a.) I bonked a little on the 2nd loop until I took a gu around mile 8 or 9, b.) the higher the sun got in the sky, the harder it was to see wtf was under foot and, c.) it was kind of hot and despite drinking a 22 oz bottle during the run, I was getting pretty dehydrated.

My only fall was about a mile into the 2nd loop, about when I was congratulating myself for making it through the first loop with no falls. Ripped my thumb open pretty good and bled all over my handheld bottle strap but otherwise, no real damage. Ankle was fine and I didn't roll it again, thankfully.

Definitely going with the Inov8's. Better traction, much better fit than the Hokas, even though I don't think it will be anywhere near as technical as either of the last 2 trail runs.

I like running Reservoir much more than Skyline. It's plenty technical and so much more runnable. Plus I pretty much have it memorized.
