Chilly and very windy evening. 4 lap flat course around the Olympic Park with 5k going on at the same time. The laps were OK to be honest - probably partly due to it being night time. There was one hairpin bend and a couple of very gentle inclines. Well organised and facilities good. Quite enjoyed it apart from my time which was a bit disappointing. I felt like I was cruising a bit in the middle but I honestly wasn't able to go any faster. The strong wind may have had a bit of an effect but overall I think the time is a fair reflection of where I am. Indicates I need to focus on the speed work and building up strength to maintain a good pace for longer.
