BSE parkrun - tail runner. Strange experience! Was quite enjoying running around with an elderly man & having a nice conversation on the fist lap. After lap one I got sent back to find a family that started late - ran back up the course but couldn't find them. Then one of the runners made some snipey remark about why was I front of them when I was supposed to be tail runner (I was one lap 1 & she was on lap 2 - not too difficult to understand I'd've thought). Turned out the family I was looking for had decided not to carry on after the first marshall point as they were too far behind!!! So I ended up struggling across the line with about 10 signs as there weren't many marshalls. Hahaha. Oh well.
