Cold morning. Dull to start with then brightened up, then dull again. Chilly wind in places.
Kind of strange route around Chelmsford industrial areas, then closed off dual carriageway, around the countryside, then back through the shopping area, parkland and estates (small alleys with gateways). Quite undulating. Not a bad route though. Nice support along the way. Only 2 water stations at 6 & a bit 7 9 miles so worth bringing your own water. Mile signage was a bit haphazard - huge signs for some miles and then nothing for 2 or 3 miles. I'd do it again though. Massive medal.
My back was aching and legs a bit tired from walking around all day yesterday.
Took the start easy. Quite difficult to get past people though it was a pretty wide route. started to push the pace a bit more later on. I wasn't going for a time but wanted to get under 1:50 so I was very pleased with sub 1:45.
