Notes
Sunny but bitterly cold. My hands were painfully cold - took off my gloves before the start which was a mistake. Out of the sun it was uncomfortably cold.
Tried really hard again today. The ground was frozen so possibly a bit easier though it was rutted in places so still had to take care. Managed to stay ahead of John until the final section coming round by the lake & then I could go with him as he sped up. Still quite pleased with how it went as I was able to press on towards the final section. I just need to keep up the speed in the centre part now. Official time was 23:12 so 20 secs faster than last week - happy with that. I want to get under 23 secs at Harrow Lodge again though.
