Used a heat pad on my achilles for 10min before heading out the door. Felt really good early on. Was just thinking about how I was going to incorporate some fartleks into my run when, in the course of about 2 strides, my achilles flared up again. Frustrating. Not really sure what the deal is. Oh well. Rest some more. New goal: be back by Saturday. A lot of ice, ibuprofen and icy hot over the next few days. Wish I was still in college and could go to the trainers for treatment and do pool workouts. Instead I have to work on my feet everyday and use frozen green beans to ice.
