Overall pace of this run makes it seem slower than it actually was. It was still pretty slow, just not THAT slow. After driving in a car for 8 hours yesterday my legs were pretty stiff. It took me a good 30min to get moving. Probably wasn't under 7:15 pace until my bathroom break at just over 4miles. First two miles were both over 8min. Opened up a bit throughout the run and tried to hammer the last 20min or so. Only got down to like 6:20-25 pace though. I really need to get back into shape. I have a long ways left to go. Consistency should get the job done though. Let each week build on the last one. This run was also helpful in getting me acclimated to the heat. 74 degrees out already when I woke up at 5am.
