Tried out Paige Rd for the first time today. It's a 6.2 mile loop of flat asphalt on a road with light traffic. My goal was 8-10 miles at Jack Daniels current marathon pace (6:22/mi), but with the temperature in upper 70s and dewpoint in the 60s under sunlight, combined with the tiredness I still feel in my legs, this was a lot harder that I thought. I didn't want to push too hard today, because they talk about super hard efforts weakening your immune system for a few days. I did 5 miles at tempo pace and then took a minute or two rest and then ran a harder mile. It's a process.
