2016 Rocktoberfest 1/2 Marathon, Charlotte, Sat@0730, Novant Health Freebee
Temp @ 53 F at 745 am, temp at race end @ 61 F; cool, but comfortable. Set alarms for 500 am; was dressed and out the door at 0550am, race start and finish at Memorial Stadium at CPCC (301 s. Kings Drive). Arrived at CPCC parking deck located on Charlottestowne, right next to the finish line @0705. Plenty of parking spaces in deck, but filled up quickly. No corrals. Partly cloudy at start, but cleared at race end. Ran in shorts, tank top, and was very comfortable, was totally soaked at race end. Running Shoes HOKA Biondi 4 (H1). No pacers. Very Hilly course; started at mile 1, miles 6-12 very challenging, mile 12- finish flat to slight downhill. Post race ok, bottles water and Gatorade available, bananas, free chips with hummus available, and free cans of beer.
