Every day for the last year I've looked at a picture of the finish of dettweiler every time I checked my phone, because it is my lockscreen. Finally getting to run at state was very fulfilling though I didn't race as well as I pictured in my mind. I let go too much in the last mile and I wish I would've moved up more. DGN ran amazing and it makes me sad that we really stood no chance against them. Every one of us racing went in there with a state championship as our main focus. Yes, that's not what you're supposed to go in thinking but I can't lie when I say that that was what I wanted more than anything else this season. It still hasn't completely sunk in yet and I'm not sure it will for a while that our season is over.
