Notes
I didn't fuel up properly today, and as a result this was a strenuous run. I had a really tough time keeping my HR at 170 bpm.
Although at first glance this seemed to be a bit of a regress from the last tempo I ran on this route, on further inspection I discovered that I actually ran the uphill leg slightly faster and at a lower heart rate, the fartlek at the end was 1 second faster than last time with a much lower heart rate. Even though I ran a slower overall time, which I am attributing to lack of fuel, (probably low blood sugar) there is definitely improvement.
Breakfast: 3 cups of coffee
Lunch (10:00am): Ham, Bacon, Egg and Potato Burrito (Beto's)
Prerun: 1/2 cup coffee
