Sucky run. Got sidetracked right in when I saw a small dog in the street. I wanted to see if I could get it to come to me so I could return it to its owner (am a sucker for animals). Instead, the little bugger just barked at me and ran away down another street! Between worrying about the doggie and the stifling heat and humidity (73 at 5:15 a.m. is NOT cool!), I just couldn't get going again. Need to decide pretty quick if I think I have any reason to try the Burlington 5K in 2 days - can't see how I'd PR, but now just worrying about finishing! With gas a $4/gallon, it is hard to drive 1 hour each way for a possible sucky race and I'd only be out $10 registration. At this point, I'm thinking I should suck it up and still go...
