Notes
Last run of the summer in East Lansing with my girls. :( I'm moving out of the apartment today, so I needed to get this run in early. Kennedy drove from Saline, and Brooke woke up early to join me on this farewell run. We ran through the Ag, did some loops in Baker, and took the children's garden back.
I got to run over the floor chimes one more time, and say good-bye to the giant peacock made out of flowers (one of my favorite MSU landmarks). We had to sneak around a wedding party that was taking photos in the garden. Chairs were set up for the wedding, and we sat in them for a hot second...Brooke and I wanted to crash a wedding together, and this is the closest we'll get, for the time being.
We headed to the outdoor track for a lap. Brooke and I ran through the sprinklers, and we were practically blinded by circles of rainbows created by the water. Then her brother (an MSU cop) drove by and "pulled us over", with the sirens and megaphone and everything. Such a great run with genuinely fantastic people. My heart is happy.
