Drove to Dexter, MI for the wicked hilly trail run with Gabby Ring. It was awesome to explore a new place -- this area reminded me of Alligator Hills on the west side of the state. And it similarly kicked my butt.
High dosage of hills, some mental rough patches, and Gabby waiting at the top of the steepest ascents to hold me accountable. It wasn't pretty, but got it done. Iced below the knee in a nearby creek afterward.
