Notes

This run was the most fun I've had running at Southlakes, ever.

It was fortuitous that as I was testing my post-hiatus running legs, a mystery runner (young black gentleman, red hoodie, black cap) joined me at the start of mile 3. We jockeyed back and forth for about 3 miles, and he didn't seem to want to get away from me, or let me get too far in front. He stayed exactly beside me. In my last mile, we picked it up to about 7:30 pace. He was breathing a little harder than I was, but keeping up. I finally motioned to him to stay with me as I kicked all the way to the parking lot at about 6:00/mile pace (fast for me). I'd hoped he was ending his run also and I could catch his name, but he continued jogging on after the end of mile 6, albeit at a much slower pace. I guess no one will ever know the true identity of the Ghost Racer.

Really fun. That was seriously so much fun that I might start randomly trying to race people at Southlakes just to brighten their day. Or make them vomit. I need a costume, though.

Also, my foot feels 100%.
