I ran the first 3/4 of a mile with Erin, and then went into the 30 seconds easy, 1 minute hard routine. I started out the hard parts at a fairly easy pace, just faster than what I was doing. By the end, though (10 reps) I was moving right along like I had a few weeks ago. My achilles was tight to start but loosened up. After finishing the 5k (20:30) I ran the course backwards with Erin (30:55). Going uphill the achilles ached more so I walked, but otherwise I felt okay. It felt good to be running again.
