Notes

I got over to the indoor track at a time when I could use it (finally) - didn't have to dodge around too many people. Just some young girls practicing hand offs for the most part, and they didn't really get in my way. I also avoided getting pegged by a tennis ball, baseball, or lacross ball which is also a bonus.

Got a solid 3x1 mile in. Ran the first two at very even efforts for 5:30s, and then was running a little fast in #3 so I opened up the tank for the last 800m to see what I had for a 5:13. I didn't realize that I was quite that quick. I took about 3 minutes rest between each one. I ended my rest when my heart rate got down to 100 beats per minute (an arbitrary but round number that seemed appropriate.) Then I jogged to the start and began the next repeat.

I didn't have any problems with dinner during the workout. After work, I went home, cooked, ate, cleaned the dishes, and then took off for the track. A nice and spicy hot sausage/tofu stir fry with a very hot pepper mixed in. No bowel movements before or during the run (which surprised me) and no nausea of any sort until the cool down. Then it took about a mile and a half to get over the nausea bit. That was probably more from running hard indoors than from dinner, though.

Good workout. Felt good, felt strong.
