Went in expecting a huge PR and but it had to rain all night before the race so the course was super muddy; people were slipping and sliding everywhere and I fell down twice during the race; the course was so sloppy that this race didn't even feel super hard cardiowise because I couldn't really ever get up to full speed; definitely not one of my better races; didn't start off fast enough either so I got stuck behind the whole pack so I had to weave through the mass of people to even pass anybody; I was the sixth runner on the team for this race, Danny and Nathan both had great races considering course conditions both getting a 17:53; Patty and Andre did not have good races either recording 17:57 and 16:53 respectively; Andre was only able to take fifth overall and got beat by Pectol and Long by about 50 seconds; we also took home third place as a team out of 52 teams but we lost to Greeneville by 20 points, we'll still get them at state though when it counts! I'll have an opportunity next Saturday at Midstate to get a big PR; I know I'm in 17:30 shape at least! Time for another good week of training for my race next week...
