I ran this race 6 weeks after my PR in Phoenix. I decided I was going to try to run a 9:30 pace to just take it easy since I just ran a hard race 6 weeks before and since Little Rock is such a hilly race. My goal was to come in under 4:15. It was cold... 32 degrees at the start and a howling wind. I was able to keep my goal pace and I finished in 4:10... which was my best Little Rock to date. This is the best I've ever felt in a marathon. I actually felt better at the end of this race than I did in the beginning, so I sped up. I was passing people the last few miles and when I crossed the finish line i felt like I could keep going! I had a lot of fun during this race.
