This was my 6th firecracker fast 5k...and the largest with 1008 people entered. I was not nearly as well trained as last year since I've only been runing for 6 weeks. It wasn't my slowest 5k, but it was close. I made my two goals. 1) finish in under 25:00 2) not have to walk the big hill just before the 3 mile mark. The only thing is, when i finished the race I wasn't totally "spent" so I think I could've run faster. I just didn't have enough training under my belt to see how fast I could push it.
The weather was great for this race... usually it's in the upper 70's and sunny at the start. We couldn't have had it any better.
