Notes

I wanted to try running a lap around Academy without the HR monitor and just let myself run by feel. It felt really good to do this for the first time in a while. I am shocked that my overall pace was only a minute per mile faster than when I run with my HRM. It felt like I was going a lot better but I did meet up with a friend at mile 2 and ran the rest with her. We would stop and go back for her daughter so I'm sure that had some impact on the time. Usually when we went back, we were walking.

My max HR is showing as 195 because I did a sprint in the middle of the uphill portion to catch up to my friend whom I saw just ahead of me. I definately felt it and was glad that I wasn't trying to sustain that. Now I'm really curious what my true max HR is because 220 minus my age says my max is 193 but by todays little spurt, I can see that is not right.
