Woke up this morning and my right foot was a bit sore. Legs were sore too. Wasn't sure if I should rest them today or not, but decided to go see how far I could make it. The goal was 10k at 4:40-5:00 pace, but I would have been happy with anything from 5-8k as well. Started off the run at slower 5:00-5:30 pace with short strides and heels and was feeling alright, except I could tell my SI joint was starting to feel it a bit. Switched to forefoot after 4k and things started to feel better. The foot soreness was mostly unnoticeable after that point and by 8k I was actually feeling good especially with the pace around 4:40. Now post run, I feel great. Amazing what a run can do for you!
