Very disappointing run. From the first km could feel that it wasn't going to be my day. Legs felt heavy and tired, like they were stuck in 2nd gear and couldn't go any faster. Going up the hills was especially bad - had NOTHING in the legs on the hills. Southern Cross was a mission - slowed right down. Was much better on the flats and downs, but still no where near what I was hoping for. Think it may have been the 10km and 15km PBs, as well as the heavy training leading up to the race. Also think I may have overloaded the carbs and alcohol a little in the build up - nothing major but more than my system is used to. Excuses aside, a kak run.
